«Narrative has a sense of democracy within itself because all the voices are expressed: this is the most important point for those who intend to approach the world of narrative and tell stories»: this is the advice that the Iranian writer Sahar Delijani, author of the bestseller "Children of the Jacaranda Tree”, gives to aspiring writers during an interview at the International Book Fair of Turin. The young writer will be on the jury of a literature prize for aspiring under 40 authors: Blumm Prize Storysharing, sponsored by the Agency Pomilio Blumm.
In her intervention during the presentation of the book "Le ali della creatività”, which traces the entrepreneurial history of the Pomilio family, Delijani also spoke of her autobiographical volume, already published in 27 countries, explaining how narration can bring closer worlds considered far away.
«Each country - she said – has perceived the book differently and in reference to its own history: many wanted to read it because behind the main story there are many minor stories on which we all can identify ourselves. We all have the same dreams, the same desires, and the same fears. An Iranian story apparently so distant has been instead perceived as near».
