Design is a thought activity: we should not replace it with a mere “optimizing” approach, because it’s from imperfections that talent emerges.
EFSA, the European Authority engaging in activities of information and awareness-raising on the themes of food security for more than ten years, keeps promoting a high number of events, addressing to different audiences: from science experts – who play a key role in plenary sessions, debates and specialised studies – to ordinary citizens, involved through events such as the Open Doors.
Indeed, last November Parma's headquarters opened their doors to the public for a whole day. The goal was to let the world know EFSA, giving a picture of the Authority's areas of interest, from nutrition to animals and plants health.
Brussels has indeed hosted two important scientific meetings in December: a seminar on TTC, planned with the World Health Organization and a meeting on the outcomes of the public consultation about "Acrylamide in food".
The above mentioned events have been realized with the organizational support of the agency Pomilio Blumm, that also implemented the new website dedicated to the EFSA conference under the title “Shaping the Future of Food Safety, Together”, scheduled in Milan starting from October 14 within EXPO 2015.
