Design is a thought activity: we should not replace it with a mere “optimizing” approach, because it’s from imperfections that talent emerges.
Ensuring that the European Union and its Member States live up to their commitments for a sustainable future is the goal of SDG Watch Europe, a broad coalition formally launched on October 13 in Brussels by seventy-five diverse civil society organisations.
These commitments have been defined by world governments signing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In this framework, the European Union, as a signatory to the SDGs, has an important role to play: that is why the SDG Watch Europe coalition will push the EU to keep its promises for a better tomorrow, calling for civil society to be included as active partner in this monitoring activity, and in the whole SDG process.
