MAGHREB: A FORUM TO RELAUNCH ECONOMIC INTEGRATION

Supporting economic integration among Maghreb countries was the main purpose of the third edition of the Maghreb Entrepreneurs Forum, held last 17 and 18 February in Marrakech

As announced last October 2013, at the end of the first Economic Forum of the Western Mediterranean (5+5), the private sector of Maghreb met on 17 and 18 February 2014 in Marrakech for the Third Maghreb Entrepreneurs’ Forum.

Organized by the General Confederation of Morocco Enterprises (CGEM) holding the Presidency of the Maghreb Employers Union (UME), its main purpose was to re-launch the territorial economic integration.

The UME brings together entrepreneurial associations from Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. In Marrakech, it launched the Maghreb Initiative of Trade and Investment (IMCI), a roadmap for strengthening intra-Maghreb exchanges. The event website is online on: http://www.forum-ume.com/fr/
